# Typespry — Free Typing Tests and Practice Typespry is a free online typing practice website. Take a typing speed test, learn with six focused lessons, try three daily challenges, or choose an adaptive drill. A guest can practice without creating an account. ## Typing tests Timed tests have 15, 30, 60 and 120-second presets. Custom durations range from 10 to 600 seconds. Word tests offer 10, 25, 50 or 100 words. Passage, Code and Custom modes provide other kinds of text practice. Word sets include Everyday English, Expanded English, Advanced English and Programming. The timer starts on the first text input. Results show WPM, raw WPM, accuracy, incorrect attempts, typing time, a pace chart and a review of the attempt. Missed words can become a short practice session. The Restart button prepares another run. Scores are for personal practice, not verified certification. WPM is matching characters remaining in the input, divided by five, divided by elapsed minutes, rounded to a whole number. Accuracy is correct character attempts divided by all character attempts. Correcting the text with Backspace does not erase earlier incorrect attempts from accuracy. ## Learn, challenges and drills The six lessons cover the home row, top row, bottom row, words, Shift and punctuation, and numbers. The lesson accuracy goal is 95%. Daily flow uses everyday words for 60 seconds. Daily precision adds punctuation for 60 seconds. Daily endurance uses expanded vocabulary for 120 seconds. Challenge text follows the user's local date; compare the same challenge and date when comparing results. Drills include Warm-up, Weak words, Weak keys, Weak patterns, Common pairs, Left hand, Right hand, Punctuation, Number pad, Programming and Advanced vocabulary. Adaptive exercises use available saved typing statistics. ## Progress and privacy Guest progress is saved in browser storage. Optional accounts use Supabase to sync account progress between devices. Practice preferences remain on the device. Progress supports backups and recent-session CSV exports. Full custom text stays in the current tab, but missed words or code tokens and aggregate typing statistics may be saved or synced. Avoid confidential custom text. ## Explore Typespry - [Typing speed tests](https://typespry.com/typing-test/) - [Words, passages and code practice](https://typespry.com/typing-practice/) - [Learn to type](https://typespry.com/learn-to-type/) - [Daily typing challenges](https://typespry.com/daily-typing-challenge/) - [Typing drills](https://typespry.com/typing-drills/) - [Typing guides](https://typespry.com/guides/) - [Frequently asked questions](https://typespry.com/guides/typespry-faq/) - [Privacy policy](https://typespry.com/privacy/)
